Salary: £460 - £600 per week (depending on experience and qualifications)

About the Role:
GSL Education South Yorkshire are currently looking for a Teaching Assistant (Secondary) to work in a supportive secondary school in Doncaster. You will work closely with teachers to provide classroom support, encourage student engagement, and help create a positive learning environment. This is a rewarding opportunity to support students with their academic progress while contributing to their confidence and overall development.

Responsibilities:

Support teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.

Provide one-to-one and small group support to students.

Encourage positive behaviour and active participation in classroom activities.

Assist with preparing learning resources and classroom organisation.

Support students with additional learning needs where appropriate.

Monitor student progress and communicate relevant information to teaching staff.
Requirements:
-
Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

A patient, caring and adaptable approach.
-
Ability to work effectively as part of a school team.
-
A genuine commitment to supporting young people in education.

Experience in a classroom or similar educational setting is advantageous.
To work with GSL Education as a Teaching Assistant, you should:

Have the right to work in the UK.

Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last two years.

Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection and that successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks including providing an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or completing an application for a new check.
We also offer, via our partner, access to accredited Education-relevant CPD courses.
