Salary: £93 - £110 per day

GSL Education Hull is currently recruiting Level 2 Teaching Assistants to work across a range of welcoming Primary, Secondary, SEND, and Alternative Provision settings throughout Hull and the East Riding. Whether you're seeking flexible daily supply or a long-term role with the potential to become permanent, we'd love to hear from you.

The Role

As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside teachers to create an engaging and supportive learning environment where every pupil can thrive. You will provide classroom support, deliver targeted interventions, and encourage pupils to reach their full potential both academically and personally. (We offer a Level 2 qualification, but you must have school experience to be considered for this)

Key Responsibilities as a Level 2 Teaching Assistant:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons.

  • Provide 1:1 and small group interventions to pupils who require additional support.

  • Promote positive behaviour and encourage pupil engagement.

  • Adapt learning activities to meet individual learning needs.

  • Support pupils with SEND, SEMH, ASC, ADHD, or other additional needs where required.

  • Assist with classroom preparation, displays, and learning resources.

  • Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.

  • Build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents/carers.

The Ideal Level 2 Teaching Assistant Will:

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds a recognised Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).

  • Has previous experience working within a school or educational setting.

  • Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Is patient, resilient, and committed to supporting young people.

  • Can work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.

  • Has a good understanding of safeguarding and child protection.

  • Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or is willing to apply for one.
