Job Title: Support Worker
Location: Middlesbrough
Pay: £90–£120 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education are seeking a Support Worker to join welcoming schools in Middlesbrough. We are looking for a compassionate and dependable individual who can provide practical and emotional support, helping students overcome challenges and fully engage with school life.
The Support Worker is going to make a positive impact by supporting students' wellbeing, behaviour, and personal development in a nurturing environment.
Responsibilities of Support Worker:
- Provide day-to-day support to students with a range of educational and personal needs
- Encourage positive behaviour and reinforce strategies that promote student success
- Assist students in developing communication, social, and independent living skills
- Support pupils during lessons, break times, and enrichment activities when required
- Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to meet individual student needs
- Promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment where every student can thrive
Requirements for Support Worker:
- Previous experience in support work, care, youth work, or a similar role is advantageous
- Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with children and young people
- Strong listening skills with a calm and empathetic approach
- Confidence supporting students with social, emotional, or behavioural needs
- Reliable, flexible, and committed to promoting student wellbeing
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
