Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Location: Middlesbrough
Pay: £90–£120 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education are recruiting a Teaching Assistant to join thriving schools in Middlesbrough. This role would suit a motivated and reliable individual who can support classroom learning, encourage pupil participation, and work alongside teachers to create a positive educational experience.
The TA has an excellent opportunity to help students develop academically, socially, and emotionally while gaining valuable classroom experience.
Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:
- Reinforce learning by supporting pupils during lessons and classroom activities
- Prepare teaching resources and help organise learning spaces before lessons
- Assist pupils in understanding tasks and completing classwork independently
- Promote positive behaviour and encourage respectful classroom interactions
- Provide feedback to teachers on pupil progress and engagement
- Supervise pupils during classroom transitions and other school activities when required
Teaching Assistant Requirements:
- Previous experience in a classroom or child-focused environment is beneficial
- Confident supporting pupils with different abilities and learning styles
- Strong communication skills and a positive, approachable attitude
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a wider school team
- Well organised with a proactive and flexible approach to daily responsibilities
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
