Job Title: Early Years Teaching Assistant
Location: Newcastle
Pay: £95–£115 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education are recruiting an Early Years Teaching Assistant (TA) to join nurturing educational institutes in Newcastle. This role would suit an enthusiastic and caring individual who can support children's early learning, encourage their development, and help create a welcoming environment where every child feels valued.

The Early Years TA will help children develop the confidence, communication, and social skills they need for a successful start to their education.

Early Years Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Support children during play-based and classroom learning activities
  • Help create an engaging environment that encourages curiosity and exploration
  • Assist pupils with developing communication, social, and early literacy skills
  • Prepare learning resources and help organise classroom activities
  • Encourage positive behaviour and celebrate children's achievements
  • Work closely with teachers to provide a safe and supportive learning environment

Early Years Teaching Assistant Requirements:

  • Relevant Early Years or Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable
  • Experience supporting young children in a nursery or school setting is advantageous
  • Good understanding of child development and early learning practices
  • Ability to communicate positively with children, colleagues, and families
  • Enthusiastic, patient, and caring approach to supporting young learners
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
