Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Location: Newcastle
Pay: £95–£115 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term
Are you looking to support students in building confidence, staying engaged, and making steady progress in their learning?
GSL Education are seeking a Teaching Assistant to work within welcoming schools in Newcastle. The successful candidate will provide classroom support, assist with learning activities, and help create a positive environment where students feel encouraged to take part.
The Teaching Assistant (TA) role gives practical experience in education while supporting students' academic, social, and personal development.
TA Responsibilities:
- Assist with classroom activities and lesson preparation
- Support students individually and in small groups where needed
- Encourage participation, confidence, and positive learning habits
- Help students stay focused and complete learning tasks
- Work with teachers to support daily classroom routines
- Contribute to a safe, organised, and inclusive learning environment
TA Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people is desirable
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to support students with patience and encouragement
- Reliable, flexible, and proactive approach to classroom support
- Good understanding of professional boundaries in education
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
