Location: Gravesend, Kent

Salary: £93.33+ per day (depending on experience)

Start date: September 2026

Contract: Full-time

GSL Education Kent are currently recruiting for a committed Special Educational Needs SRP Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Gravesend. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate support professional who is eager to help students with additional needs thrive within a Specialist Resource Provision (SRP).

The successful Special Educational Needs SRP Teaching Assistant will work closely with class teachers, SEN staff, and external professionals to support pupils with a range of additional needs. You will play a vital role in helping students access learning, develop independence, and build confidence both inside and outside the classroom.

The ideal Special Educational Needs SRP Teaching Assistant will have:

  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or communication needs
  • A genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to build positive and trusting relationships with students and staff
  • Excellent patience, resilience, and adaptability
  • Good classroom support and behaviour management skills
  • A proactive and nurturing approach to learning support
