GSL Education Kent are currently recruiting for a dedicated Nursery Manager to join a prestigious independent educational setting in Medway from August 2026, ahead of the opening of a brand-new nursery provision in September 2026. This is a unique opportunity to play a key leadership role in establishing and developing an outstanding early years environment for children aged 2 to 4.

The nursery has been designed to support modern family life, offering full wraparound care for 50 weeks of the year with extended operating hours from 7:30am to 6:30pm. Located in Medway with excellent transport links, the setting will provide a warm, safe, and stimulating environment where young children can thrive.

The successful Nursery Manager will take overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring the highest standards of care, safeguarding, teaching, and operational excellence. You will lead and inspire a dedicated team while creating an inclusive and engaging environment that supports every child’s learning and development.

The ideal Nursery Manager will have:

  • A relevant Early Years qualification at Level 3 or above (Leadership qualification desirable)
  • Proven experience in a Nursery Manager or senior leadership role within an early years setting
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework, safeguarding, and regulatory requirements
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • The ability to build strong relationships with children, parents, and staff
  • A passion for delivering outstanding early years education and care
  • A proactive and professional approach to managing daily nursery operations
