Job Title: Design and Technology Teacher
Location: Doncaster
Pay: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education are working with amazing schools in Doncaster to recruit a Design and Technology Teacher. The successful candidate will be able to deliver engaging practical lessons, encourage creative thinking, and help students develop the technical skills needed to turn ideas into reality.

The Design and Technology Teacher will support learners in developing design, manufacturing, and evaluation skills through hands-on projects and practical learning experiences.

Responsibilities of DT Teacher:

  • Deliver engaging Design and Technology lessons across relevant subject areas
  • Guide students through the design process from initial concepts to final products
  • Encourage creativity, innovation, and independent problem-solving
  • Promote safe working practices when using tools, equipment, and materials
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support achievement
  • Create an inclusive learning environment that encourages participation and experimentation

Requirements for D&T Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching Design and Technology is desirable
  • Strong understanding of design processes, materials, and practical techniques
  • Ability to deliver engaging project-based and practical learning experiences
  • Excellent communication, planning, and classroom management skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
