Job Title: Secondary Teacher
Location: Bridlington, East Riding of Yorkshire
Contract: Part time, Full Time, Term Time Only
Start Date: September 2026 or sooner
Salary: £32,916 – £51,048 per annum
Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated Secondary Teacher looking to inspire and support young people in achieving their academic potential?
GSL Education are hiring a passionate Secondary Teacher to undertake short-term cover and long-term placements within local schools in Bridlington and the surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a variety of educational settings, delivering high-quality teaching and making a positive impact on students' learning and development.
As a Secondary Teacher, you will create engaging learning experiences, maintain high expectations, and foster a positive classroom environment that enables students to thrive academically, socially, and personally.
Secondary Teacher Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Differentiate learning activities to meet the needs of students with varying abilities
- Assess, monitor, and record student progress to support achievement
- Establish high standards of behaviour and classroom management
- Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
- Encourage students to develop confidence, resilience, and a love of learning
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and support staff to promote student success
- Contribute to the wider life of the school through enrichment activities and school initiatives
Secondary Teacher Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent teaching qualification
- Experience teaching within a secondary school setting
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Excellent communication, planning, and organisational abilities
- A commitment to raising achievement and supporting student wellbeing
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs
- An up-to-date CV covering the last ten years (with any gaps explained)
- An enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or willingness to apply
