Job Title: Computer Studies Teacher
Location: Barnsley
Pay: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education are looking to appoint a Computer Studies Teacher within forward-thinking educational environments in Barnsley. We are interested in hearing from an engaging tech savvy teacher who can bring computing concepts to life while encouraging students to develop confidence in technology, programming, and digital literacy.

The Computer Studies Teacher role helps students build the knowledge and practical skills needed to succeed in an increasingly digital world.

Responsibilities of CS Teacher:

  • Deliver engaging Computer Studies lessons across a range of computing topics
  • Teach areas such as programming, cyber security, data representation, and computer systems
  • Encourage logical thinking, problem-solving, and digital creativity
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support achievement
  • Adapt lesson delivery to meet different learning styles and abilities
  • Promote responsible, safe, and effective use of technology

Computer Studies Teacher Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching Computer Studies, Computing, or a related subject is desirable
  • Strong understanding of computing principles and digital technologies
  • Ability to deliver engaging and interactive lessons
  • Excellent communication, planning, and classroom management skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
