Job Title: Mathematics Teacher
Location: Barnsley
Pay: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education are inviting applications for a Mathematics Teacher to join high-achieving educational settings in Barnsley. We are seeking a motivated educator who can deliver engaging lessons, challenge learners appropriately, and support students in building strong numerical and analytical skills.

The Mathematics Teacher is going to make a lasting impact by helping students develop logical thinking, mathematical confidence, and academic success.

Responsibilities of Math Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons in line with curriculum requirements
  • Support students in developing numerical fluency, reasoning, and problem-solving skills
  • Differentiate learning activities to meet a range of abilities and learning needs
  • Assess progress and provide meaningful feedback to support achievement
  • Encourage active participation and confidence in mathematical learning
  • Create a positive and focused classroom environment that promotes success

Requirements for Maths Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching Mathematics is desirable
  • Strong subject knowledge and understanding of mathematical concepts
  • Ability to explain complex topics in a clear and engaging manner
  • Excellent classroom management, communication, and organisational skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
