Job Title: Geography Teacher
Location: Barnsley
Pay: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education are seeking a Geography Teacher to join vibrant educational institutes in Barnsley. We want an engaging educator who can bring geographical concepts to life while encouraging curiosity, critical thinking, and global awareness.
This role provides an opportunity to inspire learners through topics ranging from physical landscapes and climate systems to population trends and global development.
Geography Teacher Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging Geography lessons that align with curriculum objectives
- Encourage students to explore physical, human, and environmental geography topics
- Develop learners' research, analytical, and map-reading skills
- Assess progress and provide feedback that supports continuous improvement
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet a variety of learning needs
- Create a classroom culture that promotes enquiry, discussion, and participation
Geography Teacher Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching Geography is desirable
- Strong subject knowledge and understanding of geographical concepts
- Ability to make learning relevant, engaging, and accessible
- Excellent communication, planning, and classroom management skills
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
