Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Barnsley
Pay: £460–£650 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education are recruiting a Cover Supervisor to work across well-established schools in Barnsley. We are looking for a confident and adaptable individual who can supervise lessons, maintain positive behaviour, and ensure students remain focused on their learning.
The Cover Supervisor role offers hands-on experience in classroom leadership while supporting the smooth delivery of learning across a variety of subjects.
Responsibilities of CS:
- Supervise lessons using work provided by teaching staff
- Ensure students remain engaged and complete assigned learning activities
- Maintain positive behaviour in accordance with school expectations
- Provide clear instructions and support where appropriate
- Monitor attendance and report concerns to relevant staff members
- Help create a productive and respectful learning environment
Requirements for CS:
- Experience working with children or young people is desirable
- Confidence managing groups of students in a classroom setting
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to adapt to different subjects and learning environments
- Professional, reliable, and proactive approach to work
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
