Job Title: Attendance Officer
Location: Sheffield
Pay: £460–£600 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education are seeking an Attendance Officer to join supportive educational settings in Sheffield. We want an organised and proactive individual who can work closely with students, families, and staff to promote excellent attendance and remove barriers to regular school participation.
This role plays a key part in supporting student achievement by encouraging positive attendance habits and ensuring appropriate intervention where concerns arise.
Attendance Officer Responsibilities:
- Monitor and track student attendance, punctuality, and absence patterns
- Follow up on attendance concerns and maintain accurate records
- Work with students and families to identify and address barriers to attendance
- Support the implementation of attendance improvement strategies and interventions
- Liaise with staff, external agencies, and parents regarding attendance matters
- Promote a positive culture of attendance, engagement, and wellbeing
Attendance Officer Requirements:
- Experience in attendance, administration, education, pastoral support, or a related field is desirable
- Strong organisational and record-keeping skills
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
- Ability to manage sensitive information professionally and confidentially
- Proactive and solution-focused approach to supporting students and families
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
