Job Title: Behaviour Support
Location: Sheffield
Pay: £460–£650 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education are working with well-established schools in Sheffield to recruit a Behaviour Support. We are seeking a confident and compassionate individual who can build positive relationships, encourage constructive behaviour, and support students in overcoming barriers to learning.

The Behaviour Support will make a meaningful difference by helping students develop confidence, self-regulation, and positive engagement with education.

Behaviour Support Responsibilities:

  • Provide targeted support to students requiring behavioural and emotional guidance
  • Promote positive behaviour and encourage active participation in learning
  • Build trusting relationships that support student progress and wellbeing
  • Assist with behaviour intervention plans and mentoring activities
  • Help students develop coping strategies, resilience, and self-management skills
  • Work collaboratively with staff to maintain a calm and supportive environment

Behaviour Support Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people in education, mentoring, care, or support settings is desirable
  • Understanding of behaviour support strategies and student wellbeing
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Positive, proactive, and resilient approach to supporting young people
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
