Job Title: Primary Teaching Assistant
Location: Newcastle Upon Tyne
Salary: £95 – £115 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Part-time / Full-time

GSL Education are currently seeking enthusiastic and committed Primary Teaching Assistants to join welcoming schools across Newcastle Upon Tyne. This exciting opportunity allows you to play a vital role in shaping children’s academic and personal development.

Key Responsibilities of Primary Teaching Assistant:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Assist in the development of pupils’ literacy, numeracy, and communication skills.
  • Help create a positive, safe, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Support pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development.
  • Prepare classroom materials and support daily classroom routines.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience working with children in a school or similar setting is desirable.
  • A caring, patient, and proactive approach to supporting young learners.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and school staff.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
