RE Teacher
Location: Waltham Forest
Salary: £165 - £265 per day
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Long Term until March 2027 (Part Time, 3 days a week – Wednesday, Thursday & Friday)
GSL Education London Branch is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic RE Teacher to join a welcoming secondary comprehensive school in Waltham Forest. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate RE Teacher to inspire young people and deliver engaging lessons in a supportive and inclusive environment.
The school is seeking a dedicated RE Teacher who can motivate students, promote curiosity and encourage respectful discussion. This part-time position offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced RE Teacher to make a positive impact while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

Responsibilities of the RE Teacher:
- Plan and deliver engaging and well-structured Religious Education lessons.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Assess, monitor and record students’ progress effectively.
- Adapt teaching to meet the needs of different learners.
- Encourage students to develop critical thinking and respect for different beliefs and cultures.
- Manage behaviour positively in line with school policies.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to departmental activities.
- Attend meetings and carry out other professional duties as required.
Requirements for the RE Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Previous experience working as an RE Teacher in a secondary school.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver high-quality lessons.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- A passion for inspiring and supporting young people.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of teaching and learning.
