Job Title: Level 3 Teaching Assistant (Primary)
Location: Barnsley
Salary: £460 – £600 per week
Contract Type: Full-time, long-term / Day-to-day
Start Date: Immediately

A welcoming primary school in Barnsley is seeking a committed and proactive Level 3 Teaching Assistant to support pupils across the school and contribute to a positive learning environment.

About the Role:
As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to support learning across EYFS, KS1 or KS2 depending on need. You will take a hands-on role in supporting whole-class learning as well as targeted interventions, helping pupils to stay engaged, confident and on track with their progress.
Responsibilities:

Support the class teacher in delivering lessons and managing classroom activities

Work with individuals and small groups to provide targeted academic support

Assist in maintaining a positive, structured and inclusive classroom environment

Support pupils’ learning, behaviour and emotional regulation throughout the school day

Help prepare learning materials and resources where required

Monitor pupil progress and share feedback with teaching staff
Requirements:
-
Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent is essential

Experience working with children in a primary school setting
-
Strong communication and behaviour management skills
-
A calm, consistent and proactive approach to supporting learning

Ability to work effectively as part of a wider school team
