Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Doncaster
Salary: £460 – £650 per week
Contract Type: Full-time, long-term / Day-to-day
Start Date: Immediately
Are you confident leading a classroom and supporting young people in their learning? A range of secondary schools in Doncaster are seeking a reliable and proactive Cover Supervisor to step into lessons and ensure continuity of learning across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

Staff work collaboratively to maintain a calm and focused atmosphere where students can remain engaged and productive, even in the absence of their regular teacher.
About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise whole classes during teacher absence, ensuring students remain on task with pre-set work. You will play a key role in maintaining behaviour standards, supporting learning and creating a structured classroom environment across a variety of subjects.
Responsibilities:

Supervise classes during teacher absence and ensure learning continues

Support students in completing pre-set work

Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies

Maintain a calm, structured and productive learning environment

Provide clear instructions and keep students engaged in tasks

Report any concerns to relevant teaching staff

Follow safeguarding and school procedures at all times
Requirements:

Experience working with young people is desirable

Strong classroom management and communication skills

Confident, calm and professional approach

Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom settings

Reliable, flexible and committed attitude

Genuine interest in supporting education and student progress
