Looking for an Early Career Teacher (ECT) in Sheffield!

Job Title: Early Career Teacher (ECT)
Location: Sheffield S5
Salary: Up to £220 per day
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time, Flexible / Day-to-day / Long-term
Start Date: Immediately

A range of secondary schools in Sheffield S5 are seeking enthusiastic and motivated Early Career Teachers to support teaching and learning across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

About the Role:
As an Early Career Teacher (ECT), you will have the opportunity to develop your teaching practice while delivering engaging lessons and building valuable classroom experience. Whether seeking day-to-day supply, long-term placements or your first permanent opportunity, this role provides an excellent platform to establish your career in education.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4

  • Support student progress and achievement through effective teaching

  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies

  • Create a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment

  • Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of different learners

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff

  • Contribute to the wider school community where appropriate

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be on track to achieve QTS

  • Recent teaching placement or school-based experience

  • Strong communication and classroom management skills

  • Positive, professional and proactive approach

  • Commitment to ongoing professional development

  • Passion for supporting young people to achieve their potential
