Job Title: SEMH Teacher
Location: Sheffield
Salary: Up to £200 per day
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time / Long-term
Start Date: Immediately
A specialist provision in Sheffield is seeking a compassionate and resilient SEMH Teacher to support students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

Staff work collaboratively to create a safe, structured and nurturing environment where young people can build confidence, develop positive behaviours and achieve meaningful outcomes.
About the Role:
As an SEMH Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons tailored to the individual needs of students, supporting both academic progress and personal development. You will play a key role in promoting positive behaviour, emotional regulation and student wellbeing while maintaining high expectations for learning.
Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging lessons adapted to individual learning needs

Build positive and consistent relationships with students

Support the development of social, emotional and behavioural skills

Create a calm, structured and inclusive classroom environment

Monitor progress and implement appropriate intervention strategies

Work closely with support staff, families and external professionals
-
Promote student wellbeing, engagement and achievement
Requirements:
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
-
Experience working with students with SEMH needs or additional learning needs

Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
-
Understanding of trauma-informed practice and inclusive education
-
Patient, resilient and adaptable approach

Commitment to safeguarding and supporting student wellbeing
