Job Title: Behaviour Support
Location: Rotherham
Pay: £460–£650 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

Can you help students make positive choices and overcome barriers that affect their learning and development?

GSL Education are supporting a network of schools in Rotherham seeking a Behaviour Support professional. We are looking for a confident and encouraging person who can provide guidance, build positive relationships, and help students remain engaged with education.

This role gives you the opportunity to work closely with young people, helping them develop confidence, resilience, and strategies for success both inside and outside the classroom.

Responsibilities of Behaviour Support:

  • Provide targeted support to students who require behavioural and emotional guidance
  • Encourage positive attitudes towards learning, attendance, and participation
  • Help students develop effective coping strategies and self-management skills
  • Support the delivery of behaviour intervention plans and mentoring activities
  • Build constructive relationships that promote trust, engagement, and progress
  • Work collaboratively with staff to maintain a calm and supportive learning environment

Requirements for Behaviour Support:

  • Experience working with children or young people in education, mentoring, care, or support settings is desirable
  • Understanding of behaviour support approaches and student wellbeing
  • Ability to remain calm, consistent, and professional in challenging situations
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Positive, resilient, and proactive approach to supporting young people
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
