Salary: Up to £200 per day

A secondary school in Barnsley is seeking a creative and dedicated Design and Technology Teacher to deliver engaging lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

About the Role:
As a Design and Technology Teacher, you will inspire students through hands-on learning and practical projects, helping them develop technical knowledge, design skills and confidence. You will deliver engaging lessons that encourage creativity while maintaining high standards of teaching and learning.
Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver Design and Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4

Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback

Maintain high expectations for behaviour and classroom engagement

Create a safe and organised workshop or classroom environment

Support students in developing practical and theoretical subject knowledge

Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of different learners

Contribute positively to departmental and whole-school initiatives
Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
-
Experience teaching Design and Technology in a secondary school setting

Strong subject knowledge and practical workshop skills
-
Effective classroom and behaviour management abilities

Passion for encouraging creativity and independent thinking

Reliable, adaptable and professional approach
