Job Title: Food Technology Teacher

Salary: Up to £220 per day

A welcoming secondary school in Sheffield is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Food Technology Teacher to deliver engaging and practical lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

About the Role:
As a Food Technology Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging lessons that develop students’ practical cooking skills, nutritional understanding and knowledge of food preparation and safety. You will create a stimulating classroom environment that encourages participation and supports students of varying abilities to achieve their potential.
Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver Food Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4

Assess, monitor and report on student progress

Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management

Ensure a safe and organised practical learning environment

Prepare and manage resources and equipment effectively
-
Support students to develop practical skills and subject knowledge

Contribute to the wider life of the department and school
Requirements:
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
-
Experience teaching Food Technology within a secondary school setting
-
Strong subject knowledge and practical teaching skills
-
Ability to engage and motivate learners of different abilities
-
Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
-
Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
