Job Title: Food Technology Teacher
Location: Sheffield
Salary: Up to £220 per day
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time / Long-term

A welcoming secondary school in Sheffield is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Food Technology Teacher to deliver engaging and practical lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

About the Role:
As a Food Technology Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging lessons that develop students’ practical cooking skills, nutritional understanding and knowledge of food preparation and safety. You will create a stimulating classroom environment that encourages participation and supports students of varying abilities to achieve their potential.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver Food Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4

  • Assess, monitor and report on student progress

  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management

  • Ensure a safe and organised practical learning environment

  • Prepare and manage resources and equipment effectively

  • Support students to develop practical skills and subject knowledge

  • Contribute to the wider life of the department and school

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Experience teaching Food Technology within a secondary school setting

  • Strong subject knowledge and practical teaching skills

  • Ability to engage and motivate learners of different abilities

  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills

  • Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
