Behaviour Mentor
Location: York and surrounding areas
Start Date: September 2026 or sooner
Salary: £92 – £125 per day
Contract: Term Time Only, Full Time, Part Time

GSL Education is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Behaviour Mentors to work within a range of primary, secondary, specialist, and alternative provision settings across York from September.
This is an incredibly rewarding role for individuals who are passionate about supporting children and young people to achieve their full potential, both academically and personally.
About the Role
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a key role in supporting pupils who may be experiencing social, emotional, behavioural, or additional learning challenges. Working closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams, you will help create a positive learning environment where pupils feel safe, supported, and able to succeed.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils
- Providing 1:1 and small-group behavioural and emotional support
- Supporting pupils to engage positively in lessons and school life
- Implementing behaviour support strategies and intervention plans
- Encouraging positive social skills, confidence, and resilience
- Supporting students with SEMH needs, autism, ADHD, and other additional needs
- Assisting teachers in maintaining a calm and productive learning environment
