Job Title: Math Teacher
Location: Barnsley
Pay: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education are seeking for a qualified Mathematics Teacher to join supportive educational settings in Barnsley. We would like to hear from a passionate educator who can inspire confidence in numeracy while helping students develop logical thinking and problem-solving skills.

The Maths Teacher role offers a rewarding opportunity to help students strengthen their understanding of key mathematical concepts and achieve their academic goals.

Responsibilities of the Math Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons aligned with curriculum objectives
  • Support students in developing numerical fluency, reasoning, and analytical skills
  • Use a variety of teaching approaches to meet different learning needs and abilities
  • Assess progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to encourage improvement
  • Create a positive classroom culture that promotes participation and achievement
  • Encourage students to apply mathematical thinking to real-world situations

Requirements of the Math Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching Mathematics is desirable
  • Strong subject knowledge and understanding of mathematical principles
  • Ability to explain concepts clearly and engage learners effectively
  • Excellent classroom management, communication, and organisational skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
