Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Worksop
Pay: £460–£650 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term
Confident in leading classroom activities and keeping students focused during teacher absence?
GSL Education are seeking a Cover Supervisor to join an amazing school in Worksop. We are looking for a reliable and organised individual who can deliver pre-set work, manage classroom behaviour, and support students throughout the lesson.
The Cover Supervisor (CS) role provides a strong route into education, helping you build confidence in classroom leadership while gaining valuable school-based experience.
CS Responsibilities:
- Supervise lessons using work prepared by teaching staff
- Keep students focused, settled, and engaged during classroom activities
- Manage behaviour clearly and consistently throughout the lesson
- Provide basic guidance to students where appropriate
- Record attendance and report any concerns to relevant staff
- Maintain an orderly and positive classroom environment
CS Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people is desirable
- Confidence managing groups of students in a classroom setting
- Strong communication and organisation skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
- Flexible and proactive approach to supporting school routines
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
