Job Title: PE Teacher
Location: Sheffield
Pay: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education are working with schools to appoint a Physical Education Teacher in Sheffield. We are seeking an enthusiastic educator who can create engaging lessons that encourage participation, promote healthy lifestyles, and help students achieve their potential both inside and outside the classroom.

The PE Teacher role provides a rewarding chance to influence students' physical development while fostering teamwork, resilience, and a positive attitude towards fitness and wellbeing.

Physical Education Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Physical Education lessons across a range of sports and activities
  • Encourage students to participate actively and develop their physical abilities
  • Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and respect through practical learning experiences
  • Assess performance and provide feedback to support student improvement
  • Maintain a safe environment during physical activities and sporting sessions
  • Support extracurricular sports programmes and enrichment activities where appropriate

Physical Education Teacher Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching Physical Education is desirable
  • Strong knowledge of sports, fitness, and physical development
  • Ability to motivate and engage students of varying abilities and interests
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
