Job Title: Design and Technology Teacher
Location: Sheffield
Pay: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education are looking for a Design and Technology Teacher to join schools in Sheffield. Our ideal candidate is a creative and knowledgeable educator who can encourage innovation, problem-solving, and technical skills through engaging classroom experiences.
The Design and Technology Teacher is going to help students develop practical abilities, creative thinking, and confidence in designing and creating projects.
Responsibilities of D&T Teacher:
- Plan and deliver engaging Design and Technology lessons that inspire creativity and innovation
- Teach students how to apply design processes, technical knowledge, and practical skills
- Encourage problem-solving and critical thinking through project-based learning
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support development
- Maintain a safe and organised learning environment during practical activities
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support student achievement and curriculum delivery
Requirements for DT Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching Design and Technology is desirable
- Strong subject knowledge across relevant Design and Technology disciplines
- Ability to engage and motivate students through practical and creative learning
- Excellent communication, planning, and classroom management skills
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
