Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Location: Sheffield
Pay: £460–£600 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work across schools in Sheffield. We would like to hear from supportive and enthusiastic teachers who can work closely with staff to provide effective classroom assistance and encourage positive student development.

The TA will give you the chance to contribute to students' educational journeys by providing guidance, encouragement, and practical support throughout the school day.

Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging and effective learning activities
  • Provide support to individuals and small groups of students when required
  • Encourage participation and help students remain focused during lessons
  • Prepare learning resources and assist with classroom organisation
  • Promote confidence, independence, and positive learning behaviours
  • Contribute to creating an inclusive and welcoming learning environment

Teaching Assistant Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people in education, care, or support settings is desirable
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
  • Patient, adaptable, and supportive approach to learning support
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
