About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will support teaching and learning across the classroom, working with individual pupils and small groups to help them access the curriculum and achieve positive outcomes. You will play an important role in creating a supportive and engaging environment where all pupils can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom activities
- Encourage student engagement, participation, and confidence
- Support pupils with varying learning needs and abilities
- Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Promote positive behaviour and learning attitudes
- Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback where appropriate
- Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and parents
- Uphold safeguarding and school policies at all times

- Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Passion for helping young people succeed
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one
