GSL Education are seeking an inspiring Year 4 Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Middlesbrough from September 2026. We are looking for a teacher who can bring energy, creativity, and enthusiasm into the classroom while building strong relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting pupils' academic progress, confidence, and personal development.
About the Role
As a Year 4 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and inclusive lessons across the Key Stage 2 curriculum. You will create a positive learning environment where pupils feel encouraged to participate, challenge themselves, and develop a lifelong love of learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Year 4 curriculum
- Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
- Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils
- Assess, monitor, and record pupil progress effectively
- Support pupils' social, emotional, and academic development
- Promote positive behaviour and high expectations in the classroom
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and support staff
- Prepare pupils for continued success throughout Key Stage 2
- Uphold safeguarding and school policies at all times
What We're Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – Essential
- Experience teaching within a primary school setting
- Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- A nurturing, patient, and adaptable teaching style
- Passion for helping children achieve their full potential
- Ability to inspire, motivate, and engage learners
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one
- Commitment to working 5 days per week
