Job Title: Sports Coach
Location: Barnsley
Pay: £460–£650 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education are working with schools to appoint a Sports Coach in Barnsley. We want an enthusiastic and driven coach who can use sport and physical activity to engage students, encourage participation, and promote positive development.
The Sports Coach position gives you the chance to make a positive impact through structured activities that help students build resilience, leadership skills, and self-belief.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging sports sessions that encourage participation and skill development
- Support students in developing teamwork, communication, and leadership skills
- Motivate learners to achieve personal goals through sport and physical activity
- Promote positive behaviour through structured coaching and mentoring approaches
- Encourage healthy lifestyles and active participation in a variety of activities
- Work collaboratively with staff to support student engagement and wellbeing
Sports Coach Requirements:
- Experience in sports coaching, fitness instruction, or related activities
- Ability to motivate and inspire young people through sport
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Positive, energetic, and adaptable approach to working with students
- Commitment to promoting inclusion, participation, and personal development
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
