Job Title: Early Years Practitioner
Location: Barnsley
Pay: £460–£600 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education are seeking an Early Years Practitioner (EYP) to join schools in Barnsley. We are looking for a caring and proactive individual who can help create positive learning experiences while supporting children's social, emotional, and educational growth.
This role enables you to play an important part in helping young learners develop confidence, curiosity, and essential early learning skills.
Responsibilities of EYP:
- Support children through a range of structured and play-based learning activities
- Encourage communication, creativity, and social interaction among young learners
- Help create a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment for development
- Assist with preparing learning resources and classroom activities
- Promote positive behaviour and support children's emotional wellbeing
- Work closely with staff to monitor progress and encourage participation
Requirements for EYP:
- Experience working with young children in childcare, education, or support settings is desirable
- Understanding of child development and early years learning principles
- Patient, caring, and supportive approach to working with children
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with children, staff, and families
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
