EN PRIMARY TEACHER REQUIRED

Salary: £41,075 per annum

Contract: Full Time | Temporary

Start Date: September (or possibly sooner)

Are you a passionate and resilient Primary Teacher looking for an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? We are currently recruiting a dedicated SEN Primary Teacher to work within a supportive and nurturing school environment in Hounslow.

This is a rewarding opportunity to join a committed team working with pupils who have a range of additional needs, including SEMH and other complex learning needs. The school provides a caring, structured, and trauma-informed approach where relationships, consistency, and understanding are at the heart of practice.

We are looking for an inspiring practitioner who is confident working with vulnerable learners and committed to supporting pupils to achieve both academically and emotionally.


The Role

As an SEN Primary Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, differentiated teaching to pupils with a range of additional needs across primary age groups. You will create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment where pupils can thrive.


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging and adapted lessons to meet individual learning needs
  • Create a safe, supportive, and structured classroom environment
  • Use trauma-informed and restorative approaches to behaviour management
  • Differentiate effectively for pupils with SEND and SEMH needs
  • Track, assess, and report on pupil progress
  • Build strong, positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families
  • Support pupils’ emotional regulation and personal development

Candidate Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and PGCE (or equivalent)
  • Experience working with SEND and/or SEMH pupils (primary age preferred)
  • Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, consistent approach
  • Ability to adapt teaching to meet a wide range of needs
  • A resilient, compassionate, and patient attitude
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
