Salary: £460 – £600 per week
Contract Type: Full-time, long-term / Day-to-day

About the Role:
As SEMH Support Staff, you will work closely with teachers and pastoral teams to support pupils with emotional regulation, behaviour management, and engagement in learning. You will provide both classroom-based and targeted support, helping students overcome barriers to learning and build positive routines within school.
Responsibilities:

Support pupils with SEMH needs in classroom and small group settings

Assist in managing behaviour and promoting positive choices

Help implement individual support strategies and behaviour plans

Work alongside teaching staff to maintain a structured learning environment

Provide emotional support and encouragement to help pupils engage in lessons

Support the development of social skills and self-regulation

Record and report observations on pupil progress and behaviour
Requirements:

Experience working with children or young people with SEMH or behavioural needs is desirable

Strong communication and relationship-building skills

Calm, patient, and consistent approach in challenging situations

Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Commitment to supporting vulnerable learners in education

A proactive and resilient attitude
