Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Sheffield
Salary: £460 – £600 per week
Contract Type: Full-time, long-term / Day-to-day

About the Role:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to provide tailored support for students with a range of additional needs. You will help pupils access learning, develop confidence, and engage positively within the classroom environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Support students with special educational needs during lessons and school activities

  • Work with individuals and small groups to provide targeted learning support

  • Assist in implementing personalised learning and support plans

  • Promote positive behaviour and encourage student participation

  • Help create a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment

  • Monitor progress and communicate effectively with teaching staff

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people with additional needs is desirable

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • A patient, caring and adaptable approach

  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff

  • Commitment to supporting the educational and personal development of young people
