Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Doncaster
Salary: £460 – £600 per week
Contract Type: Full-time, long-term / Day-to-day
Start Date: Immediately

About the Role:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to provide tailored assistance to students with special educational needs. You will play a key role in helping pupils access learning, build confidence and develop independence within the classroom environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Support students with special educational needs during lessons and school activities

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support where required

  • Assist teachers in adapting learning activities to meet individual needs

  • Encourage student engagement, confidence and participation

  • Help maintain a positive, structured and inclusive learning environment

  • Support the social, emotional and academic development of pupils

  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable

  • Experience supporting individuals with additional needs is advantageous

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • A patient, caring and adaptable approach

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

  • A genuine passion for supporting education and student development
