Job Title: SEMH Teacher
Location: Sheffield
Pay: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term
Are you ready to use your teaching skills to support students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs?
GSL Education are working with schools to appoint an SEMH Teacher in Sheffield. We want a resilient and compassionate professional who can deliver engaging lessons while supporting students with additional emotional and behavioural needs.
The SEMH Teacher position enables you to play a vital role in helping students overcome barriers to learning and achieve positive educational outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored lessons that meet the academic and emotional needs of students
- Create a structured and supportive classroom environment that promotes engagement
- Adapt teaching strategies to suit a range of learning abilities and needs
- Encourage positive behaviour and support students in developing self-regulation skills
- Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback to support achievement
- Work collaboratively with support staff, families, and external professionals when required
SEMH Teacher Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience working with students who have SEMH needs is desirable
- Strong behaviour management and classroom leadership skills
- Ability to build positive and trusting relationships with students
- Flexible and patient approach to teaching and learning
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
