Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Doncaster
Pay: £460–£600 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education are looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant to work across schools in Doncaster. We are seeking a supportive person who can provide tailored assistance to students with additional learning needs patiently.

The SEN Teaching Assistant role gives you the chance to make a meaningful difference by helping students access learning, develop confidence, and participate fully in classroom activities.

Responsibilities of SEN TA:

  • Provide tailored support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Help students stay focused, engaged, and involved in learning activities
  • Adapt support methods to meet individual learning and communication needs
  • Encourage confidence, independence, and positive classroom participation
  • Work with staff to follow individual learning plans and support strategies
  • Promote an inclusive environment where students feel valued and supported

Requirements for SEN TA:

  • Experience working with children or young people with additional needs
  • Understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEN) and inclusive support approaches
  • Patient, calm, and caring approach to student support
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work effectively with staff, students, and families
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
