Job Title: Early Years Teaching Assistant
Location: Stockton
Pay: £90–£120 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education are hiring an Early Years Teaching Assistant to help develop the young learners in Stockton. We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic individual who can help create a positive and engaging environment where children feel supported and encouraged to learn.

The Early Years TA role offers a rewarding opportunity to contribute to children's early development while helping them build confidence, communication skills, and independence.

Responsibilities:

  • Support children during play-based and structured learning activities
  • Help create a safe, stimulating, and welcoming learning environment
  • Encourage the development of social, emotional, and communication skills
  • Assist with classroom organisation and preparation of learning resources
  • Promote positive behaviour and encourage participation in daily activities
  • Work closely with staff to support children's progress and wellbeing

Early Years Teaching Assistant Requirements:

  • Experience working with young children in educational, childcare, or support settings
  • Understanding of early childhood development and learning principles
  • Patient, caring, and nurturing approach to supporting children
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to create positive relationships with children, staff, and families
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
