Job Title: Support Worker
Location: Newcastle
Pay: £90–£120 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education are currently recruiting a Support Worker to provide practical and emotional support within educational environments in Newcastle. We are seeking a caring and adaptable individual who can help students access learning opportunities while promoting wellbeing and personal development.

The Support Worker role offers a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact by assisting individuals who require additional support to thrive in structured environments.

Responsibilities of the Support Worker:

  • Assist individuals with their daily routines and educational activities
  • Provide encouragement that promotes confidence, independence, and participation
  • Help create a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment
  • Support the implementation of individual care or support plans
  • Observe and report any concerns relating to wellbeing or progress
  • Encourage positive social interactions and effective communication skills

Requirements for the   role:

  • Experience working in support, care, community, or similar environments
  • Compassionate and understanding approach when working with others
  • Ability to build professional and positive relationships
  • Good observation, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Flexible and dependable attitude towards supporting individual needs
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
