Level 3 Teaching Assistant (Level 3 TA)

Location: Newcastle
Salary: £95 - £115 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time

Are you an experienced and dedicated Level 3 Teaching Assistant looking for an opportunity to support students and contribute to their academic success?

GSL Education are seeking a skilled Level 3 TA to work in schools across Newcastle, providing high-quality classroom support and helping students reach their full potential.

The successful Level 3 TA will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. This rewarding position involves working closely with teachers to deliver targeted interventions, supporting students with varying learning needs, and helping to create an engaging and inclusive classroom environment.

Responsibilities of a Level 3 TA:

• Support teachers in planning and delivering effective learning activities.
• Provide one-to-one and small group interventions to support student progress.
• Assist students with their academic, social, and emotional development.
• Adapt learning resources and activities to meet individual student needs.
• Support pupils with SEND, EAL, or additional learning requirements where necessary.
• Promote positive behaviour and contribute to effective classroom management.
• Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teaching staff.
• Assist with the preparation of classroom resources and learning materials.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and parents to enhance student outcomes.

Requirements of a Level 3 TA:

• CACHE Level 3, NVQ Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or an equivalent qualification.
• Experience working as a Teaching Assistant within a school setting.
• Strong understanding of classroom practices and child development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to support students with a range of learning needs and abilities.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A proactive, patient, and supportive approach to education.
