EYFS Teaching Assistant (EYFS TA)
Location: Newcastle
Salary: £95 - £115 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are seeking a nurturing and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to work in schools across Newcastle.
The successful EYFS TA will support children within the Early Years Foundation Stage, assisting with both educational and personal development activities. This rewarding role involves encouraging learning through play, supporting classroom routines, and helping children develop essential communication, social, and academic skills.
Responsibilities of an EYFS TA:
• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging EYFS learning activities.
• Assist children with their social, emotional, and educational development.
• Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils when required.
• Support the development of early literacy, numeracy, and communication skills.
• Help create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment.
• Encourage positive behaviour, independence, and confidence.
• Prepare classroom resources and support learning through play-based activities.
• Monitor children's progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
• Support children's wellbeing and personal care needs where appropriate.
Requirements of an EYFS TA:
• CACHE Level 2 or 3, NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare, Teaching Assistance, or a relevant qualification.
• Experience working with children within an EYFS or early years setting.
• Good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A caring, patient, and positive attitude.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Genuine passion for supporting young children's learning and development.
