Job Title: Design and Technology Teacher
Location: Doncaster
Pay: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education are currently recruiting a Design and Technology Teacher to support creative and practical learning within educational settings in Doncaster. We are looking for an innovative and well-organised professional who can help students develop design thinking, technical confidence, and hands-on skills.

The Design and Technology Teacher role offers the opportunity to deliver hands-on learning, helping students move from initial ideas to completed design outcomes.

Responsibilities of D&T Teacher:

  • Teach practical lessons that combine design thinking, creativity, and technical skills
  • Guide students through project stages, from research and planning to final production
  • Support safe and responsible use of tools, materials, and equipment
  • Encourage students to test ideas, solve problems, and improve their work
  • Provide feedback that helps students develop both practical and written outcomes
  • Maintain an organised learning space that supports focused practical work

Requirements for DT Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience delivering Design and Technology lessons in classroom settings
  • Strong understanding of design processes, materials, and practical techniques
  • Ability to manage practical activities safely and confidently
  • Good communication, planning, and organisation skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
