Job Title: Science Teacher
Location: Sheffield
Salary: Up to £220 per day
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time, Flexible / Day-to-day / Long-term
Start Date: Immediately

Secondary schools across Sheffield are seeking dedicated and knowledgeable Science Teachers to deliver engaging lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, helping students develop curiosity, critical thinking and a strong understanding of the world around them.

About the Role:
As a Science Teacher, you will deliver inspiring lessons across Biology, Chemistry and Physics, adapting learning to meet the needs of different students. You will foster a positive classroom culture, encourage scientific thinking and support students in developing both practical and theoretical knowledge.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Science lessons across KS3 and KS4

  • Plan and assess learning in line with curriculum expectations

  • Encourage curiosity, investigation and independent thinking

  • Support students in developing practical laboratory skills

  • Maintain a safe and well-organised learning environment

  • Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback

  • Promote positive behaviour and engagement in lessons

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (desirable)

  • Experience teaching Science within a secondary school setting

  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

  • Secure subject knowledge across the Science curriculum

  • Ability to motivate and inspire learners of varying abilities

  • Professional, adaptable and reliable approach
