Job Title: Food Technology Teacher
Location: Sheffield
Salary: Up to £220 per day
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time, Flexible / Day-to-day / Long-term

Secondary schools across Sheffield are seeking enthusiastic and knowledgeable Food Technology Teachers to deliver engaging practical and theory-based lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

About the Role:
As a Food Technology Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging lessons that develop students’ understanding of nutrition, food preparation, health and safety, and culinary skills. You will create a positive classroom environment where students can learn through practical experiences while maintaining high standards of behaviour and achievement.
Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging Food Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4

Prepare and organise practical cooking activities safely and effectively

Teach students about nutrition, food science and healthy lifestyles

Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback

Maintain high standards of classroom and kitchen safety

Support positive behaviour and student engagement in lessons

Contribute to a supportive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (desirable)

Experience teaching Food Technology within a secondary school setting

Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
-
Excellent subject knowledge and practical teaching ability

Ability to inspire and motivate students of varying abilities
-
Professional, reliable and adaptable approach
