EYFS Level 3 Teaching Assistant
Location: Middlesbrough
Salary: £90–£120 per day (dependent on experience)
Start Date: September 2026
Contract Type: Full-Time
A welcoming and nurturing primary school in Middlesbrough is seeking a dedicated EYFS Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team from September 2026. The Head Teacher is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced EYFS Level 3 Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting young children during the crucial early stages of their education.
This EYFS Level 3 Teaching Assistant role will involve working closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging learning opportunities through play, exploration and structured activities. The successful EYFS Level 3 Teaching Assistant will help create a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment where children can develop socially, emotionally and academically.
Key Responsibilities of the EYFS Level 3 Teaching Assistant:

Supporting children within the EYFS classroom.

Delivering learning activities alongside the class teacher.

Encouraging communication, language and social development.

Supporting children's personal, social and emotional wellbeing.

Assisting with observations and recording pupil progress.

Helping prepare classroom resources and learning environments.

Promoting positive behaviour and engagement.

Supporting pupils with additional learning needs where required.
The Ideal EYFS Level 3 Teaching Assistant Will:

Hold a Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Early Years or Teaching Assistance.

Have previous experience working within an EYFS or nursery setting.

Have a strong understanding of the EYFS Framework.

Be nurturing, enthusiastic and committed to supporting young learners.

Have excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply).

Have a fully checkable work history.
